michaelyost.com is operated by Michael Yost, doing business as Yost Creative Solutions, based in the Houston, Texas area. Questions about anything on this page can go to contact@michaelyost.com.
What gets collected
Only what you choose to type into the contact form:
- Your name and, if you provide it, your company
- Your email address, so I can reply
- Whatever you write in the message field
There are no accounts, no logins, and no newsletter signup. If you never use the form, I never receive anything identifying you.
What it's used for
To read your message and respond to it. That's the entire purpose.
I don't add you to a mailing list, use your information for advertising or retargeting, or sell, rent, or trade it to anyone. If a conversation doesn't go anywhere, your message stays in my email archive and nothing else happens with it.
Who else touches it
One third party is involved in how this page works, and it's worth naming.
- Google Fonts. The typefaces on this site load from Google's servers, which means your browser's IP address is visible to Google when the page loads. This happens on most of the web and I don't receive that data.
Contact form submissions are handled by my own web server and delivered straight to my email. No form service, marketing platform, or CRM sits in between. Beyond the fonts above, I may share information if I'm legally required to. Nothing else.
Cookies and analytics
This site sets no cookies of its own and runs no analytics, no advertising pixels, and no behavioral tracking. There's no consent banner because there's nothing to consent to.
If that changes, this page changes with it, and the date at the top will tell you when.
How long it's kept
Inquiries live in my email the way any business correspondence does. If we work together, related records are kept as long as the engagement and normal business and tax obligations require. If we don't, I clear out unrelated inquiries periodically.
Your choices
Email me at contact@michaelyost.com and I'll tell you what I have, correct it, or delete it. No form to fill out and no verification hoops. Depending on where you live, you may have these rights by law; either way, you have them here.
Children
This is a business-to-business site and isn't directed at anyone under 13. I don't knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
If this policy is updated, the revised version appears here with a new date at the top. Material changes will be obvious rather than buried.
