A Commitment to the Community College Mission
Teaching at the community college level is the most meaningful work of my career. My approach begins with empathy and structure, recognizing the diverse backgrounds, responsibilities, and histories of non-traditional students. I design my classes to offer clear, supportive paths forward, ensuring students view their real-world experiences not as barriers, but as strengths that help them grow into competitive, resilient, and original designers.
As a career educator and active industry professional, I continuously bring current standards, evolving practices, and real-world workflows—including branding systems, UX principles, and AI integration—directly into the studio classroom. My goal is to equip every student with the technical mastery, visual literacy, and critical thinking skills needed for both transfer to a BFA program and immediate workforce readiness.
